How to Spend a Weekend in Nashville

It’s no wonder Nashville, Tennessee, is nicknamed Music City.

With beloved country music spilling out from every building in downtown, the country vibe is known around the world!

Southern food, rich culture and artwork, and endless amounts of fun, Nashville is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway!

Where to Stay:

For a relaxing, luxurious stay downtown, check out the Kimpton Aertson Hotel.

This artsy boutique hotel features lavish accommodations and rooftop pools - plus it’s pet friendly and has a free happy hour!

Sleep like Kings & Queens at the Hermitage Hotel in central Nashville.

Decorated with Renaissance artwork, this historical landmark will blow your mind with its suites designed for maximum comfort and luxury.

Where to Eat:

Start your weekend right with coffee and brunch at Pinewood Social.

More than just a coffee shop, Pinewood also offers a fully staffed bar, bowling alley, and pool venue!

So grab your favorite latte (or bloody Mary), scarf down your pancakes and hit the bowling lanes.

Stop for lunch at Puckett’s, a converted grocery store known for its Southern comfort food.
Their slow-smoked BBQ will have your mouth watering while you sip sweet tea and listen to one of their live bands play in the backyard.

Enjoy a signature Mason-jar cocktail and brick oven flatbreads at The Stillery, Nashville’s Moonshine-making hotspot.

Make a reservation in advance for their Firehouse Pie’s and Blackberry Shine, or else you’ll be fighting locals for hours just to get a table!

Things to Do:

A big Bucket List item for most country music lovers, the Grand Ole Opry is the stage that showcases the past, present, and future of country music.

For almost 5000 consecutive Saturdays, the Opry has broadcasted live National concerts available on both television and radio.

Country music legends such as Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, and Blake Shelton have performed!

Take a stroll down Honky Tonk Highway for a chance to spot a country celebrity.

It’s a musical hub in Music City, and one of the coolest places to immerse yourself in Nashville’s cultural scene.

The Cheekwood Estate & Gardens harbors an incredible collection of glass sculptures commissioned by artist Dale Chihuly.

His work is featured all over the world, and Nashville is lucky to host his art for a few weeks.

Tickets are available for both day and nighttime viewings, but a special offer of a light show happens after dark.
